I've got tickets to the first group games at Old Trafford this Thursday. After watching their performance on TV the other night though, I can't say I'm very hopeful of any real success. Anyway, it's great value for money at £20 a ticket and for that you get 2 games in the same group. Afternoon game is Uruguay v United Arab Emirates and the evening game is Team GB v Senegal. Staying over in Manchester on the Thursday evening and coming back on the Friday. Quite looking forward to it actually but moreso for the 2 days off work I reckon rather than any real expectation of seeing a great game of football. Very good seats, planning to take a GTFC flag and wear my Town shirt to try and exorcise the ghosts of the last trip to Cardiff. Batch, Crombie, Moore K, Wiggington, Cumming, Waters, Bonnyman, Ford, Emson, Drinkell, Whymark. Love you all, You are the reason I'm on here. You've had help from Todd, Handyside, Futcher P, Groves, Mendonca, Macca etc etc etc. Up The Mariners!!!!!!!!!

Got a corporate upgrade with food, car parking and Grade 1 seats (whatever they are!). Travelzoo did me a deal at £28 all in for the pair of us - bangin' value.   Former lover of all things GTFC . . .

Some would argue it's a bit overrated but it's my favourite pub in the city centre. Five minute walk from Canal Street but serves a great pint (lots of real ales) and their pies are award winning.
