Surely they should be made to enter the English Non-League Pyramid to qualify.

Maybe we should invite Barcelona over if we're letting teams from different countries leagues enter, even though TNS's ground is actually in England.

Football is a game, the more teams that take part, the more people can enjoy it.
At least if Barca were in the cup, it would stop the BBC showing Ballbag Albion Paperboys XI V Walsall on a Saturday lunchtime.

Why pick on Walsall, have they done something to upset you.

Not really but the accent makes me feel upset and for that reason alone, they should be replaced by Barcelona in the FA Cup.

I don't like Walsall. They beat our youth team a few weeks back. Fenty's fault for sending Neil Woods there.

No it shouldn't be allowed and I hope they get knocked out by an English non league club, even if that non league club is Lincoln.

It's quite an interesting story when you look a little deeper. According to a Wrexham fan I know TNS make Crawley seem like a friendly club with morals and are on a par with MK Dons.

Llansantffraidd was the name of the the first club Mike Harris, their owner, killed to make his TNS Franchise. But TNS Franchise outgrew their village team hosts and went to look for a fresh victim, which came in the form of Oswestry Town. Since killing off them, Mike Harris tried to move his franchise to the Deva Stadium when Chester City were in their death throes and to Wrexham when they were in difficulty. Horrible guy, horrible club according to him!

Weren't they in Europe a few seasons ago?  Quite a way to fall, Man City (I think they played) to teams like Ashington in the FA Trophy.

NO it shouldn't be allowed.  It's effectively the same as Lyon entering the FA Cup.

I don't get why teams like Swansea, Cardiff and Wrexham are in Enlgish leagues either?

Nail on head comment for me, they are not English therefore they shouldn't be in our league or cup competitions.

I may be wrong but I think it was TNS who played Liverpool in the Qualifyers for The Champions League. It was the first season that the winners of The Champions League the season before didn't qualify automatically for the Group Stages and Liverpool had to enter the qualifying rounds.

I think there was some talk at the time that Liverpool wouldn't be allowed in The Champions League but in the end UEFA let them enter the qualifying rounds.

The problem is that the FA have already set a precedent by allowing teams like Newport County and Merthyr to take part in the FA Cup and FA Trophy.

They haven't really. Teams like Newport, Wrexham and Merthyr all play in the English league pyramid. TNS will be the first team to play in the Welsh league if they enter.

I agree but if Newport County were told by the FA that they would no longer allow them to play in the FA Cup then that decision could be legally challenged .

All this on St Georges Day too....

Which by the way I heard this morning (RH) is coincidentally the anniversary of the first (and only?? ) time the FA cup was won by the Welsh when Cardiff beat Arsenal

I remember my dad telling me that Arsenal had a Welsh keeper who "inadvertently" helped his compatriots along the way to their win

Exactly. They've always been in it and always will be. Don't really know why people get so bothered about it.

The TNS thing's different. In fact, I find it a bit odd, but I don't really care.

I think that 'fall' would've been apparent when they played against Neath (or whoever) the week after.

And that would mean than TNS would have to be in the English Leagues as their ground is in England. Not sure where Chester would play seeing that their ground is half in England and half in Wales.
