Last years Play off final was between Luton And AFC Wimbledon IIRC.

maybe in fututre see which teams make the final and then choose a suitable venue,
In this case The Emerates would have been ideal I would have thought

Doesn't wembley have to have so many games played there each season just to pay the bill though, I'm sure they still make a tidy profit off 18 thousand people, especially with the price of food etc there.

But I agree, It should be played at a club ground.

I'm sure you'd have arrange the venue early doors. I imagine it costs arsenal a fortune opening up and running the emirates just as Wembley does, two werks or so before doesn't really help them.

The fact is the champions league rule is another pointless one. Why does it need to be left unaffected for 14 days? Absolute bollox. It doesn't take them long to convert advertising boards etc. another rule which sees money dictate.

The BSP bit won't affect us but we'll still have to at OT which is where I assume they'll play it as we will be in the league 2 playoff...

Surely this will be a case of UEFA enforcing this so that it gives the groundsman 14 days to prepare the best possible playing surface, with no risk of it being churned up in between?

Why would we churn it up anymore than the teams in the champions league?

According to them all lower league teams play big boot which requires very little pitch, lol.

Any event on a muddy pitch would cause more damage than playing on a 'regular' pitch. I can only assume that they are aware of potential weather complications coming into play and so if the pitch is churned up a week before it may be difficult to flatten out properly, hence 14 days.

Only a guess mind, I wouldnt quote me on that
