Elding's Lincoln charge.

Nearly 6 weeks after the game the FA have decided to charge Anthony Elding with misconduct following his actions in the Lincoln home game.

I wonder if Mr Peel has been pestering them to charge him. He must be very proud of himself. TW@T.

I'd be amazed if this one sticks. It would open the floodgates for every disgruntled fan to have a moan over an opposition player.

I've spoke to quiet a few imp fans and they have said he was only getting his  (ELDING) own back after taking a load of gob off certain  group of imp fans in thier opinion it was mammary for tat all square nothing rude unlike thier keeper who it looks as gone unpunished credit for us get on with it .UTM

On the subject of his charge, he should go and when they give him a ban or fine he should gyrate in front of them and do that action that one of them off 'Friends' used to do to his dad when he wanted to insult him.

Instead of a crotch grab maybe he should have done something that has been proven to be ok and justifiable due to the level of provocation.

This is total pettiness in my opinion. And it opens the floodgates for complaints galore. Town fans should send bogus complaints to the FA by the mail sack full if this sticks. Teach em a bloody lesson because it is a completer over reaction and fabrication.

What are they actually basing the charge on. Is there any video evidence, did the referee mention it in his report or are they just going on the word of a few bitter Lincoln fans who like to give it out all game but go crying to the FA when they receive a bit back.

As has been mentioned, if he is found guilty, it will set a very, very dangerous precedent.

The thing that really annoys me is that a lot of Lincoln fans admitted on their vital forum that they were all giving him abuse before this and many of them said the twit that complained was giving as much as anyone else! What a coont.

Pretty embarrassing for LCFC I think. Many a player has done this, they spent all game giving him excrement yet they get a simple response which I believe sir elding differentiated so our inbred, web footed freaks from Lincoln would understand...

If this is the case a player would get done every week. What's next? When oppo fans sing songs against the other fans will they all get fined?

It all depends whether the FA deem it worthy of a ban IF he is found guilty.

Whatever the outcome the Lincoln fans won't come out of it too well. Elding's already quoted their fans as using abusive/racist language like Gypsy, and their own forum had fingers pointing at Rob the hypocritical nob Peel for shouting the very same language at Elding for almost 90 minutes. Poor stuff.

Perhaps if write and say that i was at the York v Ebbsfleet game and i saw Yorks entire squad burning England shirts and then mooning the crowd if i could get them all banned for a few games.

Surely the money being wasted on this could be better spent on something important like youth development???

This whole episode is a very sorry day for football. Its sanitising the life out of watching and being part of the game of football............

I've always felt unusual in that I've never wished ill of our local rivals, I was disappointed for Lincoln when they joined us in this hell of a league.  But now I'd take great pleasure in them dropping even further, I don't understand how they can have so little shame.

To abuse a player all match, and as soon as he gives anything back to go crying to the police and FA because he hurt their feelings, is beyond pathetic.

I have just sent a video (DVD) to the F.A with the Gimps goalie doing the male masturbation-er sign to the Pontoon was not bothered at all regarding banter but have not put an official complaint in, i have also advised them i expect a response within 24 hours otherwise i will be making a Police complaint.

Well done m8 hope they reply to your DVD the gimps have fallen to a new level and I can tell you more than half the fans who came to the game say it was no more than expected football banter which a few  encouraged PC plod to follow up.
I belive a few found it as away of scoring a few points (brownie) been as they lost to a far superior team. if he gets a fine the club could pay it.

You're probably right Les, but it would show the hypocrisy of the Lincoln fans, and how Town fans (and most sets of fans for that)  deal with such a common incident. By taking it as part of the game.

Everything about Lincoln is a joke this year...the other day Holdsworth said he worried that they'll struggle to keep hold of their star players in the summer... Surely Lincoln city and star players is an oxymoron?

This whole thing is a joke and clearly someone who probably ha a small tackle and gets a had time from his wife and kids and feels like nobody takes notice of him...
