Manager in press conference (telewag) says Church is coming back. Think he will slot into midfield to replace Panther.

Hasn't he been on loan at Alfreton? That will be a bit strange for him. Professional job to do though.

He was an unused sub for them yesterday and I don't think he's started regularly whilst there. But at the same time, they have picked up form and perhaps wanted to keep with a settled side.

Eagle wasn't even in their squad?

Started every game when fit, only fit enough for the bench yesterday after returning from injury that kept him out on boxing day apparantly.

Well aware of that. It does show how low he has sunk, from playing in the Championship with Norwich to not even getting in the matchday squad of a side in the relegation places of the Conference, whilst still only in his early twenties. It would appear that Rob Eagle's professional football career is all but over.

Perhaps he could go into the Brewery Trade.

Pro football is a short career, every player should give as much as they've got because when it's over it's too late to say I wish I'd done better.

Supporting the Mighty Mariners for over 30 years, home town club is were the heart and soul is and it's great to be a part of it.

Jesus’ disciple Peter, picked up a fish to get the tribute money from it, Jesus left his thumb print on the fish, bless'ed is the Haddock.

Don't be daft, the lad can play, just needed a wake up call. The conf does not suit Eagle at all. Sweeney didn't play well in div2 but in Div 1 he has time on the ball, which is what eagle needs! Wouldn't write him off. He's also a nice bloke.

I don't wish Eagle any ill-will and expect he will continue as a pro footballer. He certainly put the effort in when playing but was perhaps lacking in physicality - he's not very big or strong and doesn't have the pace to make up for this. He'd be a useful player alongside some strong, dominant central midfielders.

That said, if he was on the wing playing against Bradley Wood at full-back, I have few doubts as to who would come out on top of that contest.
