With a sold out lower and a pretty full Upper plus 6-700 Imps the Pontoon needs to up there game on NYD or they could be competing with the Main Stand for the wooden spoon.

WERE NOT THE MAINSTAND
WERE NOT THE PONTOON
WERE THE FINDUS BLUNDELL PARK

I hope ALL the stands are loud. Lincoln will be giddy at the thought of 700 away fans so every time they try to make a noise we should all start chanting to drown them out. Findus upper and lower has been louder last few seasons, but this crowd will really see who's up for it.

Chanting hasnt really happened at BP for a while of any note prob since Barnet at home so it will be good to hear the famous BP roar at 3pm.

out of the 2 games, i feel the away fixture wetted the appetite more than the home tie... but saying that with more threads and war cries like this, come 3pm sunday the  BP faithfull will be in a frenzy, and for the 1st time this season at home, the players will not believe their ears

Well im from the era who walked to be BP and by 2.30pm matchday the Pontoon could be heard from Sidney Park doing it`s warm up and you got a jog on thinking your watch must be wrong and you would be late for kick off.

Mid 80's onwards, often come away with loads of scars from the "lets go fecking mental chant" starting at the top and hitting every barrier on the way to the bottom. Its a shame seating got put in,and the last 10 years as all but killed the atmosphere in there.

Looking at the youtube clips from the buckley 1 era and the mass of bodies in there certainly brings the excellent memories back

Yeah that was good but still not a patch on the Pontoon in the early 80s once they pulled the Barrats down the Pontoon seemed to peak though we also had hell of a team.

I'd love this to be the case. If Town start well and get an early goal or two I think the atmosphere will be electric. I just worry the first half will be flat like at Sincil Bank.

Not just Town fans though Lincoln were pretty quiet 1st half also ,it was just one of those games where it picked up a gear after half time on and off the pitch.

Yeah I meant the whole ground. Lincoln were quiet because they always are, always have been and always will be. Town were quiet because the team were playing poorly but I was still a little disappointed. Obviously the second half was exceptional support but I'd love that to be the case from the Findus, the Pontoon and maybe even the main stand from before kick off right until the final whistle.

There will be polite clapping or boos from the main stand, interspersed with a some "what a load of rubbish" comments, oh and "ref you don't know what you're doing", with a few "sit downs" thown in against Lincoln's manager. There also might be some "oohs" for any near misses. See it is "electric" in that stand.

If the Main Stand are reluctant to sing, what about a mass stamping of feet every time Town get a corner - will the stand take it?

At least Rob Scott gives those negative "supporters" in the main stand a mouthful when they verbally abuse the team, none of this polite crap, some people deserve a good going over.

A few choruses of "Sit down, and behave yourselves!" would be entertaining.

The roars after we scored both goals, on the highlights was like the old town roar. It sent shivers down my spine

To the Pontoon left lot- get yourselves out of the left hand side and fill the Pontoon from the middle-outwards. Why would anyone of sound intelligence, intent on creating atmosphere, place themselves in the very place in the stand from which most sound is lost, due to it being open? I know I've said it before numerous times but it really does bug me (and sadden).

Shhhhhh!

Totally agree been said before but i think they said they don't want to move which if fair enough for them but that doesn't stop other groups from starting up in the middle I think we should do just that

If you got rid of the allocated seating the atmosphere would get somewhere back to how it was in days gone by.

Now we have a team who gives it all, we can entrust our faith back into the players.  Eventually it will pay off, partisan crowds are hard to come by but when you've got one as ferocious as Towns that's something special.

No, I'm not saying get rid of season ticket holders, if you've got a season ticket then you get in earlier, just remove the you have to sit in seat No* Row*.
