Great news.

I don't sit in there myself but it'd be nice to look over to the pontoon and see it packed out. The once famous noisy stand has been empty and quiet for a few years now.

Have just being looking and here is some good info to give us an idea of how many will be there, on the 22nd December Gypo put this online

http://www.grimsby-townfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10417~2556123,00.html

Tickets Left for Home Fans:

432 in the Lower Findus

1186 in the Upper Findus

1518 in the Main Stand

and a mere 1215 left in the Pontoon Stand…

So, in total - home area tickets 'left & available' for the New Year's Day game at Blundell Park stands at 4251 - so get yourselves down to Blundell Park & start buying !! as off 22nd ...............

So that takes us to 3819 left with the Lower Findus being full we must have sold a fair few elsewhere too since then, so my rough guess being that we will have around 2500 tickets left for home supporters this would indicate we are well on course for a 6000-6500 gate on NYD if not more............

I'm with most of the travelling family - grandsons et all - but in the main stand, as the family deal is best for us all!

Will this stand be able to take our shouting and cheering??

Not quite the same as the Ponny, but at least I get to go to the match and still stay with my band of lads - one of whom unfortunately had his first live match at Wolfsburg in Germany !

I usually sit the Osmond end of the findus and I rarely ever hear the Pontoon. I would love to hear it for the full 90 minutes on Sunday, see it packed to the rafters and bouncing after Hearn strokes home his third goal.

The unreserved seating on the left side did largely for the Pontoon's atmosphere.

I just wish the home atmosphere could be more like this, with seemingly EVERYONE joining in at times! Brilliant, wish I'd been there.

If all three stands were doing this at the same time I honestly think the Lincoln players would wet themselves.

Yep. Spread the word everyone. We need to continue the noise from Boxing Day. If you turn up you have to sing/chant.

Get the whole ground singing "Scott and Hurst's black and white army" like for the last 15 minutes at Lincoln. The noise from "1700" fans was terrific, if we got 5500 doing it it would be amazing.

I still have the usual reservations about us not turning up or a couple of their players mugging us. I really do hope Town dismiss this hoodoo we have of not performing when it matters in front of a big home crowd. Do it tomorrow and I can relax and believe were getting back on track! Pessimistic I know but honest. UTM.

I really think things have changed for us recently regarding big crowd/poor performance etc etc, I think Lincoln will be smarting and will want to bring the game to us and you know what that means at home, they had better keep their back door shut tight or else

I just hope this winger they've brought in isn't as good as he's rated by clubs he's played for, pace n trickery n hungry for the game. Just hope our approach pushes them back n we score early which means they can't defend en masse!

Also a good early hard crunching tackle on Power should repay for that on L Hanson and keep Power quiet. I though he was the best midfielder on the pitch Boxing Day!

Just introduce him to Bradley Wood early on, in much the same way as players were introduced to Bobby Cumming early on. Welcome to Cleethorpes! (not heard that little ditty for a while..)

Batch, Crombie, Moore K, Wiggington, Cumming, Waters, Bonnyman, Ford, Emson, Drinkell, Whymark. Love you all, You are the reason I'm on here. You've had help from Todd, Handyside, Futcher P, Groves, Mendonca, Macca etc etc etc. Up The Mariners!!!!!!!!!
