I'll be amazed if there's more than 500 Town fans there.

We should be taking 1,000 plus.  It's one of our closest games, and on the back of 2 wins aswell.

Is it one of our closest games? It's not in the top 5 from where I live. To expect to take over a third of our home support to a club over a 100 miles and two hours drive away is pushing it a bit I think.

The only closer games are Alfreton, York, Mansfield n Lincoln.

Kettering similar.

540 went to Rushden last season and about 700 to Histon. We always have better support going a similar distance to the South than we do to the North West. Think that is because we get a good following of London Mariners coming up and we have good support in mid-Lincolnshire who hop over to the A1 at Grantham.

Kettering is the same distance from Grimsby, and if you happen to live in Louth then Cambridge is closer than Stockport.

But if you live in the rural area of Lincs and there's no racks on display then the distance is irrelevent.

So my argument still stands then. I don't live in Louth, I was basing my statement on distance from Grimsby, sorry I didn't point that out, I thought it was obvious.

Heavy rain forecasted tommorow, wonder if they'll stick us in the covered stand like when we knocked them out of the JPT on the way to Wembley.

Does that mean seating behind the goal though which will be exposure to the elements or would they definitely put us under cover?

I don't fancy sitting out there for a couple of hours getting peed on, no matter how we do.

It's nothing to do with the cost of it, just the comfort of knowing I'm not going to be soaked to the skin and chilled to the bone

It would be good to see a good performance from Town but being cold and wet isn't my idea of fun....call me a wimp but I'd rather save myself the inconvenience and listen on line

Covered area is for small away followings, larger ones which will be us I assume are in open stand.

I imagine the the small followings would be around 200  but we are more likely to bring 500 so bring an umbrella.

It doesn't look promising for the afternoon

Then again what do weather forecasters know....they never get things right!

Although I'm quite happy when Sarah Crudass on Look North tells us to watch out for a warm front

When we played them in the JPT a few years ago it absolutely bucketed it down at half time so they let us go in a section of the covered stand down the side, there were probably about 300-400 in a 250 seated area, great night though. I think they were caught unawares in all honesty so maybe this time they will have made provisions what with the forecast and all.

Just for info, I rang Stockport to see if there was anything available under cover for away fans with young kids tomorrow....I was told that as there would be policing in place it means that all Town fans will be placed in the open Railway End
