I don't think there will be any changes from Tuesday to start with. Depends how the game goes. If we need more bite and drive in midfield I think Church may come on for the last half hour in place of Thompson. If he does ok and has no injury reaction, I would expect him to play At Gateshead, probably with Thompson as well to give us a tougher midfield and shut the game down. Really hope we can give Hearn some decent service so he can get off the mark, it would do his confidence no end of good. Perhaps if he gets one he may go on to get a second in the same game. Heres hoping.

Duffy and Hearn as a front two for me. Duffy deserves his place and Hearn needs to be able to play off him without any defensive duties.  We badly need some partnerships to grow and this could be key one.

Completely agree.
I'm all for including other players but don't think we should start experimenting with unproven players at home.

flipping hell that how low expectations are? Backs to the wall at flipping Gateshead. The definition of a tinpot club. What has happened to our club?

Only a guess - I may well be wrong.
I think we need to attack and try to win games away from home but I think it'll be more a case of playing for a point cos what happens if we get stuffed 5-0 again ?
Think the mangers will be keen to keep it tight and avoid that.
Personally I wouldn't give a toss whether it's 1-0 or 5-0 and would go for as many away wins as possible.

But then 80s it is not your head on the block if it all goes t-its up. It would not be you having to take all the abuse would it. Gung ho, nice idea from the sidelines methinks.

Exactly !!!
You make a fine point, whose interests should come first ?
If I was manager I'd be serving the best interests of GTFC regardless.
They need to lighten up with this so called pressure - wasn't so long Soctt said he was in the best job in the world.
So what if he receives a bit of criticism ? With all due respect he should be used to it, he certainly doesn't mind giving it.

I said they did the right thing at Newport because it was more about restoring players confidence and having a solid foundation to build on but now we've got that think we need to open up if we can.
Sure I wouldn't like getting stuffed 5 or more and would try to avoid it, but if we regular concede that many with normal tactics(not attacking or defensive) then we should probably want to know about it asap so we can deal with the problems.
At the end of the day, away draws and defesive tactics won't achieve promotion IMO.
If you play a 2nd string at least you've got an excuse - that probably where Woods got himself into the mire at Chasetown.

Switching from a defensive setup doesn't necessarily mean you have to be gung ho ?
I commended the managers for their positive attitude against Braintree and think they should keep it in mind and take the positives.
If we can't defend from set pieces it doesn't particlularly matter what tactics you adopt - players behind the ball is only going to paper over the cracks.

I would keep the same team we won and they deserved it now it's up to them to keep their place sometimes making changes can unbalance the team.

it will be the same team unless disley does not get over the knock he has had which i very much doubt it would be stupid to change the team after the first win   so my guess is same team and church will get last 20 mins
