Elding was not aloud in the game by that number 5.

Spencer put him in his place tho i think Spencer will turn out to be a good sign in this league not for his goals but his physical presents

Not so much bullied as battered. The ref should have acted against their number 5. The only option open to Elding was to knock the dirty fat tw@ out.
MMM a good option and a definite crowd pleaser

Also wondered if he was match fit or not but does that excuse his poor touch or heading ability ?

Not sure maybe it does but how many games has he now got before we drop that as an excuse ? (same question for Spencer too)

Not trying to have a go at him but the side can't carry players indefintely unless performances improve - I said pre-season he didn't deserve his place...

I just hope Scott and Hurst are thinking once he gets fully sharp he'll be a different player who can regularly find the net but I fear I'm already clutching at straws.

The good news is, there's plenty of room for improvement alongside Hearn.

It would be interesting to see how Spencer Weir-Daley would have played today. He's a free agent, scored plenty of goals for Boston, knows Pearson and Church (which shows that there would be some instance "gelling" from Defence to Attack if they are all selected) and the current managers know what he can do.

That's probably why they haven't signed him.

I think Hurst said at the fans forum that they didn't think he was good enough for this level.(..)

Anyhows, we've got the players we've got and we need to stick by them. As long as they put all their heart and desire in whilst wearing the Black & White shirt that shows a change in the attitude of the journeymen that put us where we are today. UTM

I didn't think Elding was particularly lacking in effort, he just wasnt very effective today against that brute of a defender.

I think he'll do well for us. Let's give him more than ONE F***ING GAME before writing him off.
