Not in GY or Clee, but the refineries at night are a spectacular sight

Me too mate, it was my local until 1973 when I moved to Grimsby from Meggies and was the first place I ever had a pint. Used to get the bus right outside to go up to top town or Freemo

The lounge on the corner with the revolving door used to get packed, there was a very camp head barman in an old fashioned starched white waiters jacket who used to call time (1030 pm in those days)

'Time to go ashore, the liberty boat's leaving'

You must have been in there when I went then Ipswin,

I was a regular from 1965 to 1970ish,

The barman used to say to us, " I have got a certificate to say I am sane, have you ? "

Good times.

Brown's Monument. For the unintiated, that large concrete circular construction up meggies where the towns shite used to jettison out on to our beloved golden sands and azure blue sea!
Oh Happy Days.

Did anyone see Phil Tufnell visit Dock Tower on this evenings The One show? Nice insight into the landmark and also includes decent views from the top, of the town
