It's 4-6 weeks. I'm embarrassed by the comments on Twitter about sending him back.

Poor fella has been unlucky. Hopefully he will be back for the sharp end of the season.

I think it's time to admit this is a deal that hasn't worked out for any of the parties. In 6 weeks time it's the middle of March, at which point I imagine thoughts will be turned to next season without him.

Feel for the lad.. has obvious ability but struggling with his body.. must be very frustrating. Unfortunately.. we took a risk/gamble and it hasn’t quite worked out - had issues with Wrexham latterly hence the loan. If he can get fit and sustain it he’ll be a positive for us.. but that’s the ‘if’.. looking like March before he can return..

He needs games.. the bigger picture for the lad himself is his career.. must be a concern, and he’s got too much ability to dwindle down levels imho.

Providing he manages to get back fully fit, it would be really nice if he had to really battle to get himself back into the team...

Artell spoke earlier in the season about not signing players based on the fact you like them or they did well for you previously and to take that bias out of decisions.

I’ve a feeling we did that with Davies, I reckon the Shaun Pearson connection played a big role in bringing him in and the lure of what was at the time a marquee signing probably blinded us slightly. He’s been really disappointing for me, even when fit and I can’t see him being cheap either.

It’s a shame because I was really excited about him signing, but even when he’s scored in games we’ve not really seen a brilliant all round performance from him all season.

I’d be surprised if there wasn’t some option to send him back, but I’d bet that Wrexham hold all the cards.

Wonder if whilst he is injured Wrexham pick up his wages? If so it's not a big deal to carry on with him in the squad but if not then we'd surely be best calling time on the deal. That's if it isn't too late, could it be we've gone past a cut off date anyway? If he's staying then obviously hope the lad gets a third bite of the cherry at managing to keep fit for at least a couple of months and showing what he can do.

I like him more than most seem to on the fishy but no way do we want to be signing him permanently based on what we've seen, because what we've seen is he is far too big an injury risk I am sorry to say. I really like him and think he would be ideal for a league 2 team that is dominating games, would get lots of goals, not sure that he really suits us anyway as I don't think we will be that sort of side.

If he's under contract to us (albeit on a loan deal), we're going to be paying our share, come what may. If we wanted to send him back and make Wrexham pay it all, we'd need to have their agreement, I'd have thought. Can't see that happening.
