But, we’ve got 6 points out of 9 in a week where the players have played AWAY at the mostly northern and southern teams in our league. Maybe the fixtures are somewhat a bit daft and it was just 1 game too many?
I don't want to come off sounding like it was the one single contributing factor as that does a disservice to Donny and McCann who got it absolutely spot on tactically from the off and punished us. But...that run of fixtures is more than a bit daft to me when Donny have had back to back home matches and then only had to go 50 miles or whatever it is to BP. Feels like we've been slightly diddled there in all honestly.
Have to agree with this. That was the worst 30 seconds I think I've ever seen a Town player have. That includes the likes of Tommy Forecast and the rest of the useless idiots we've had this century. That was absolutely braindead and I hope his teammates and management are laying in to him for it.
I think Waterfall's brain fart 2 or 3 minutes of madness from a few seasons ago trumps it. Was it Maidenhead? Own goal, sent off and gave away a pen to put us 2-0 down.

Doncaster had done their homework all three of their goals came from attacks against our left side they identified our weaknesses from the start.

I did think about that one but I can forgive a last ditch tackle going badly. Can’t forgive two yellows in 20 seconds for gobbing off. Brain dead and should know better.

I'm not sure it's as clear cut as that. I don't really blame Hume too much for the first - he got close to the winger from a throw, but the guy managed to get half a yard and out through a good ball. The rest of the defence were caught too square and static and it was more their fault than his. The goal that came from our cocked up throw in was partially Hume's fault, as it wasn't a great throw, but it was ultimately McEachran who cocked up by trying to let the ball run and allowed himself to be tackled by Clifton. And, of course, there was the stupid mistake by Rodgers. Although their goals came from mistakes down our left, I think we looked just as vulnerable down our right, but got away with it when they attacked down that side!

McAtee had one in the promotion season where he went flying in, can’t remember who & where but in the movie he said he just wanted to nail the player as he’d kicked one of ours. Rodgers was pretty dumb yesterday, but cut him some slack he was good versus Bromley & Gillingham, scored the winner at Carlisle. We’ve all seen Town players losing it over the years, my personal favourite is the Gali & Pennant .

To be honest, I just knew this was going to happen. I just cant seem to ever believe we're going to turn the corner after all the misery we've been served up over the last 25 years. Let's see how we bounce back now, experience tells me this will be the start of a mini bad run

Haha yeah, that absolutely cracked me up on the doc that line from McAtee, especially as Hurst defended him at the time. Was at Dagenham. The match when the manbaby in the away end started a fight.

I think that's all on Hume. Thrown at a height and trajectory that's impossible to control, don't think McEachran had a choice but to try and let it run. As said on another thread, Hume's throws are atrociously bad. Don't think this result was anything about McCann getting one over on Artell at all, or even targeting any weaknesses of ours. Absolutely no way on earth that Donny set up with the intent of our whole defence standing flat footed for the first, our left winger falling over for the second and our centre-back marking thin air or the farce of a throw-in and then the aforementioned centre-back passing to their attacker in space. McCann didn't out think or out manoeuvre Artell, it's just that our players made stupid errors.
