I think we will struggle to keep hold of Khouri, McJannet, McEachran and Svanthorsson (ultimately).

Thought the whole team were excellent. Tactics spot on and substitutions worked very well. Pyke did his role well.

Fantastic result.

Tremendous result.

It's not just the result though, it's the performance. The players worked their socks off.  To think, it's not that long ago Hume, Green, Rodgers and Khouri were getting a slating on here.

In DA's pre-match interview he acknowledged that Gillingham had had a good start, but there was none of that bigging up the opposition stuff. Instead he said we can give anyone on this division a game. And we did.

I think he has instilled a real positive attitude and team spirit. Can we all get off his back now?

Well done DA and the players.

One thing Pyke does add to a relatively slight team is some strength. Seems a very powerful lad though he's not of massive size. I wonder if he'll perhaps play a bigger role than any of us expected at the start of the season?

Khouri is looking consistently good so I'm wondering how the midfield will line up when Thompson returns? Similarly, McEachran and Green. Nine of them really deserve to be dropped, but you can't imagine Artell won't play Thompson when he's fit.

Which nine?

I’ve read quite a few posts on here and on Twitter and, whilst the whole squad deserves praise tonight, I’ve got to heap plaudits on George McEachran who hasn’t dropped below a 7 out of 10 all season and really defines how we’ve played in the last few weeks. There’s no wonder he played for England at several age group levels.

Jackson Smith looks a very decent keeper he was never in trouble and never dropped the ball .

Smith gave me Wayne Henderson vibes. Similar sort of stature. Didn’t really have to do anything crazy in terms of shot-stopping, but just looked really chilled and confident in everything he did. That kind of demeanour goes a long way, and perhaps it’s not a total coincidence that we’ve just seen not only our best defensive performance of the season, but possibly under Artell end of.

Decent kicking too. Looked comfortable and ready receive the ball outside his box.

A smooth sea never made a skillful mariner.

Agree. Swindon fans didn’t have a single good word to say about him. It’s all about the manager. We’ve seen it before so many times.

Green puts more egg on my face, keep on doing it Greeny I don’t mind you proving me wrong! ( on the plus side I’ve always been a big advocate of Khouri).

Thought it was pretty much the perfect away performance with them having just one goal scoring opportunity all match. Brilliant at stopping the crosses coming in and what a difference that makes to defensive stability with the keeper looking so assured.

In closing a special word for Hume who has now created 3 goals in the last two games and two of them exquisite through balls after beating a couple of players ( and I didn’t think he was an improvement on Glennon). Demonstrated that sometimes you need to give players time to settle in and not be too quick in making judgement.

Not only did town turn in a very solid performance, the sky stream worked faultlessly. Kept expecting it to drop out as we got to the nervous last ten minutes but it was excellent

That’s are model now, you’d assume Joe will already be looking at replacements, just in case.
