I think we'll finish at Blundell park on the 3rd of May at 4:55 having just played AFC Wimbledon.

That's my prediction.

I’m confused as to why you’re currently in the middle of arguments with different people across 3 or 4 threads on here, one stretching back to Tuesday night.

Quite.

Wise post.

Yeah it is and you could argue Hurst was led down the path of trying to try and move towards 'the Grimsby way ' from the start of last season , which actually worked quite well early doors-  we passed , we moved it well and looked pretty good  - but then something changed : the pitches heavy , lose a couple opening up and probably some of the players not good enough to implement ; hence reverting to half and half Hurstball with the eventual outcome him gone . It wasn't really a Paul Hurst budget or team in truth was it .

I'm not arguing with anyone, I am putting my opinion up in threads that I have a comment to make in.  I thought this was a public forum where discussions and debate are welcome, am I wrong.   Look to see how may people I have abused, don't bother, I'll tell you, none.  Oh and you have never seen anyone dredge up threads older than 3 days!  Do you have a go at other people who you think are 'arguing' I don't think so.  It's a forum!!

Just asking, do you know the difference between arguing and debating?

I genuinely think there is strategy that lets you mix styles of play that can enable you to compete, to say nothing of the effect it has on an opposing team, who can plan against you if they know what they’re going to get ahead of the game. We were far too easy to play against for vast swathes of last season. Scramble that up in the coming season and we’ll have a better chance.

Hard fought draws and even smash and grab wins amalgamate points that keep you safe and give you a platform. Giving away silly, clumsy, needless goals by trying to make possession of the ball everything  kill your chances of that. Slavishly sticking to one doctrine and waiting for reality to align with it, will produce a relegation struggle. I want to see a team that can mix it up a bit and do what it takes to get results, not try to ‘Pep’ it’s way to 4th division glory with players who can’t control and pass it consistently.

Heavy pitches had nothing to do with it. We went to shite after the Wrexham game which was only mid-September.
