What has happened in this country? I can't believe there are so many against Freedom of Speech...! It does not matter if you agree or not with Yoda's views. They are his views and he he has a right to say them. I am getting on in years and i know the vast majority of people agree with freedom of speech but i do depair when i see so many who don't...!

The ironic thing is that many are ex service men and Union Jack wavers,who fought to preserve freedom of speech.The last thing the English Defence League are fighting for are British Values. It is the social media values of piling on anybody who doesn't agree. The tactics of the playground bully.

For those who weren’t aware there was a post by the little green fella which was promptly deleted by the mods due to its misogynistic content. That’s what led to the poll with the reference to hating women in the question alternative.

I’m prone to a bit of hating myself - anything from Hull, the bloke from Lincoln who keeps posting on here and cod with my chips but I quite like women, I could’ve been one, I’m the son of one and father to two others. I’m sufficiently offended by someone making horrible posts about women to say he should be banned. That’s why I’ve voted yes and not because I’m against free speech even for annoying little green tw@ts.

Freedom of speech does not come with freedom from responsibility. This seems to be very readily forgotten by some, who start yelling "freedom of speech" the moment they are challenged on something they've said or written

This. And the fact they cannot possibly believe their own shite and are just trolling. I voted yes because they bring the general discussion on the board down, not up, every single time. For their own sake, they need to find something better to do.
