The 2024 Highland Games commence on Friday with the first of the meetings being the Durness highland gathering. I have it on good authority that the blue riband event, involving projecting a naked tree stump is short of a competitor due to injury. Being a lifelong supporter of the event I’m keen to ensure that there’s a full compliment of competitors. I’ve done my due diligence and that’s led me to identifying you as the ideal replacement competitor. Please accept my nomination, I think you’ll do well, you have the key attribute for the event. In the cold light of day, I'm wondering if Yoda may have a mental health issue. That is not an accusation, I don't mean this to be nasty towards him, but his posts are quite strange, but when people respond to his posts in the negative, I can not say that I have seen him reply to any. This makes me think does he have a mental health problem and if he does then are we being fair to him? I hope no one takes offense at this post as it's not meant to be offensive in any way, I personally have my own mental health problems and know how they can effect your everyday life.
If that is the case, then I unreservedly apologise to him for my posts in reply to his somewhat weird postings.

I’m not a fan of Yoda, but a couple of points.
1. I posted on another thread, any news about Danny Rose and when he will be fit to play. No reply
2. I understand Steve Evans let him go from Stevenage because Danny wanted to return up north.
In other posts, Danny’s mum apparently has said he is happy at Grimsby.
I hope to see him leading the line , if not from the start, at Fleetwood.

My son saw him as he popped back to his Grandad’s (GranthamMariner) car to get his phone for him.
Danny Rose met my son early last season when the third kit was launched and for the second time since he made my son feel very special by recognising him, remembering his name and asking how he was.
He’s obviously a very nice guy.
I have no idea if he wants to leave.

I must point out that I am not getting forgetful in my old age, I had left the phone charging, but then needed it so I could use the app in Nandos.  PS. my grandson was very kind and helpful in volunteering to go back and get it. |

Ruuger is a bully he tries to bully people who post something he doesn’t agree with.
I know what he meant in his post about me implying thinking he’s clever i have a mental disorder.
I don’t care what he says it doesn’t bother me but someone who is more mentally fragile could be sent into a dark place.
So in future if any posters can pm Ruuger your post first he can then ok it and give you permission to post it.

I still think Wayne (or was it Wanye?) set the standard for trolling. He occasionally managed to misspell every word in a post, which is impressive. He posts were often pretty amusing too,
I suppose he wasn’t a true troll because he was clearly taking the urine and could never be confused with a genuine poster.
He did bring some lighter moments to the board. The speculation was that he was the alter ego of a well known poster. I think his true identity was revealed at some point, but I can’t remember who.
