I hope he gets fixed up somewhere.


I very much doubt that he had already been told - so no point in playing him today.  More likely scenario surely was he knew that a contract offer was in the balance & he needed to bust a gut to tip the scales today.

Comes in and scores 2 in 4 games, plays mainly well by all accounts and probably ends up as our pre season top scorer but still isn’t offered anything. He was clearly just here to make the numbers up then, shows how far behind we are with recruitment. I’m hoping DA has some quality irons in the fire, but to still be waiting on players at this stage of pre season just shows how far down our shortlist were now looking.

He scored against Boston & a local semi pro side in pre season friendlies, it’s hardly a good marker to offer a player out of sympathy.

It doesn’t show how far down the shortlist we are either, players will have multiple options and they’re all probably rightly waiting out for the right thing. 3 weeks is a long time in the recruitment process and it feels a bit daft to moan about it now when I bet not one single club is close yet to completing their business.
