It says a single donation of £25k, but £35k overall, which suggests he made at least another donation. GMB donated £75k, but this wasn't as a single donation.

This confirms my point of extremely poor journalism throughout the Reach Group.

The last few pages of this seem to have become anything but about the new CEO.

For what it's worth, I thought Polly came across really well on both Sky and on the club's YT video. Seems very knowledgeable about the club and the area already so has done her research. The fact that she's prepared to move to the area and have her son (I think she said) start school here shows a long term commitment. Really interested to see how she can move the club on. UTM

With your in depth, expert knowledge of the BCorp application process I would be grateful if you could explain how this appointment assists our application.

And what exactly is it about Polly being a woman merits your apparent ire?
Finally, with your in depth expert knowledge of footballing CEO's I would be grateful to know who would've been on your short list n who you would've appointed instead

I don't mind her CV embellishments and taking most of the kudos for women/manu womens team growth, but we all know its a push by the TV(BBC) and media that is growing women's football. She grabbed hold of the coattails and got pulled along. That's OK by me.
I do wish her well at GTFC as we need growth to pay for Team/Stadium/Training facilities. Let's see how she does without any coattails to grab hold of and a much more competitive environment.

I think it’s a huge positive to have someone with an in-depth operational knowledge of football, especially at the level Man Utd women play at - they average 11k a week, are a huge brand globally and the kind of pressures/demands that the CEO will be under in that role far surpasses anything we have here.

You do wonder how he get the best seat in the house centre front row along with an audience of imported Londoners , junior doctors , nhs workers and students. Where was Grimsby man or woman who voted for Brexit and Boris which was the whole rational for the programme being here.?

A friend of mine was sat right by him, and is just a normal working Grimsby person to be fair.

This may have been mentioned already on this thread but I noticed on Linkedin that Polly has a UEFA B coaching licence.  So as well as being an experienced administrator, she also has hands on knowledge of the game.  Is she the first Town CEO to be a qualified coach?

Probably, but Ian Fleming could cut the grass so swings and roundabouts really isn't it?

Quite ironic you’ve chosen a user name of one of the most misogynistic gtfc players of recent decades…

But let’s just park this bus here . It’s really not worth getting into a spat .

My missus thinks Jason S is dishy - I really must have a word with her on that one.

why don't you feck right off?

what does it matter what they look like? it's how good  they are at their job.

And i speak as someone who's wife worked their way up from nothing to achieve far more than I did, and as a grandparent to a young lady who looks like she has the potential to have the world at her feet

it  is neanderthal and completely unacceptable

I’m offended that you’re offended.

Looks, potential, feet… You’re as bad as the rest of us.

Because you say that your friend was a normal working Grimsby person it doesn't mean Jason is. Starmer said that Victoria Beckham was a normal working person - not many normal working people in Grimsby then.
