Is it fair to say that neither McAtee nor Taylor have played as well post injuries this year?

I also believe that the amount of games, distances travelled, and lack of proper training time between league and cup games with required squad changes from cup tied players have all contributed to how the end of season is playing out.

Mid table placing, and a hugely unexpected cup run should be enough, but many fans expect promotions every year with top quality players of the ilk of Wrexham's spending power, which is totally unrealistic.

For me, a disappointment is the poor passing and lack of ball control that has crept into the side. This allows opposition players a good chance to chase and harry our lads, with today's second half being a prime example.

Another chasing shadows game, albeit with the officials missing every Evans led system of pushes and nudges to knock players off balance.

2nd goal - their offside player runs across Crocombe's eyeline, but not given ????

Having said that, they played more aggressively and chased everything - even 1st half, they ruled the 2nd half play.

One more game, then the summer prediction thread can run riot !!

If we'd have kept the same 11 as the last game or just made 1 change and brought Lloyd in and we lost 2 0 I wouldn't mind as much. Its the constant tinkering of formation and playing someone like Taylor who's never going to play on the efl again after this season. We dominated and played some good football in patches last game. Someone posted earlier the 3 players with the highest percentage of accurate passes all got dropped to the bench and we played long ball and matched their game play. Why?
I'm not angry or going to be annoyed for long. In fact I'll wake up tomorrow and not care, but if I was 1 of those 700 odd who travelled I'd be drunk.

If we manage a top half finish, it will be the first time we've done so in the League since 2006. I think that would have to be considered a success.

I was hoping for an improvement in our passing game with the better weather along with better pitches but today the ball spent more time in the air than on the ground and which suited Stevenage as they are a big side, First half I thought we contained them pretty well but Glennon wasted our corner kicks. Holohan had a poor game and was caught out for the 2nd goal and has been a disappointment just recently. Everyone is tired from a long season but we do need some quality additions to the team and hopefully play  a lot better at Blundell Park next season.

Dead Eye Dobbin stood motionless waiting, waiting, waiting for the ball to arrive. Back came the right foot, Down came the right foot, Bang ! Headlines around the world as the ball flew into the very top right hand corner of the goal.( Jim Dobbin scoring in the 89th minute for Town against Newcastle United away 24/10/1992 )

But that is what teams like Stevenage do. They close you down and force you to hit it long, which suits them.

The Crewe game the other night was totally different and they gave us time and space to play.

If we'd played the same team as the Crewe game today, we would have got battered.

We now need players that are better on the ball and can beat the press of teams like Stevenage by playing through them, and I'm sure that is what we will be looking to do in the close season.

Not sure what you want. You don’t want the same team as we played against Crewe, who were demonstrably better on the ball, but you want players that are better on the ball?

I don’t expect us to get promoted next season but I’m expecting us to be a bit more aggressive, hold and pass the ball like professional footballers should do and win some more games at home.

Why not? Look what Steve Evans has done with no money. Why can’t we expect Hurst to make a big are forward over the summer and us have a proper automatic promotion challenge next season?

Most of our team today played at National League level last season.

And hopefully thats where most of them will be playing start of next season.

To do that you need to pick players that can pass the ball.
