We had enough of being run by a dictator who had no idea how to run a football club or had any respect for the fans so we know how they feel. In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions. Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them. GOD

Guest User	They’re in an absolute mess. I do feel sorry for them. No fun if you don’t have local rivals. More time for fans who turn up to see their local team than those who buy a prem shirt and a sky subscription. Hope they find a way out, but it’s got Bury written all over it.

However, For decades we were leagues and worlds above Scunny. In my short experience of that time I don't ever remember hearing the word Scunthorpe at Blundell park. They were simply irrelevant. Yet, since they eclipsed us during our downfall, and have since either been around or above us, they have never ever shut up about it. They have 2 (or 3) songs dedicated to us alone, and having lived in Scunthorpe a number of years now I can well and truly say despite still being a league below them I am absolutely revelling in their demise. They can shove it as far as I'm concerned Codhead, socialist, recovered addict.
