It was simply brinksmanship on Fenty's part (which Shutes side would have seen through immediately) and, if the statement from Shutes & Co is genuine appears to have resulted in a change of their position

Your time here has been a disaster you have taken the club once into non league very nearly twice had it not been for other team point deductions and looks like were heading back there again!

You will never get a better deal, we the fans near a new start under new owners so we can get back to supporting our proud club.
