Now we have lost neilson signing pond up is an absolute must.

Quality again tonight and this guy is an absolute beast for us.

Signing him and Hannah would be flipping great.

Hannah is almost a done deal not sure about pond though.

That was awesome, put 2 defenders on their bottom and put a great ball in. Quality. And that tackle in the first half was immense.

Skinned 2 players In their box and had the composure to go past a third and put a ball in, great defender with all round football qualities. Scored and assisted more than his fair share this season.

Pond seemed to be having a bit of a confrontation at the end of the game with Dean Keates?? Dont know what it was about but Keates was very annoyed (perhaps because they lost )

I'd offer them £50K and see what they say to that. He's worth it. Whilst Miller and Pearson are both great defenders, they aren't athletes like Pond, he gives us something different.

Just taking a quick look at the tables. As far as I can see, the only club with fewer goals conceded than us in the 4 divisions above (as well as our own) is Man Citeh and they've played half a dozen games less. In those same 4 divisions, a couple of teams can match our goal difference but none can better it.

I think Pond has a great deal to do with that defensive stat and he's also helped out a fair bit with the goalscoring. It would be seriously useful if he were to sign for us in January because, good player though he may be, Miller doesn't have the physical power that makes Pond so useful in this division.

90K for a player they deem surplus to requirements? Bunch of dreamers if true, they need to remember they are a nothing club riding on the crest of a millionaires wave at the moment, that can soon change and they will soon be at a level they belong, where their pathetic crowds will be more appropriate, sadly probably our league!.

This may not mean anything, but surely it can only be good news for us that Fleetwood Manager is really looking to diminish squad size. Stay here Pondy, get promoted with us and show them what they're missing next season

Come on Fenty, if you never give us another penny ever, just put your hand in your pocket and buy Pond - even if it is £90k - we'll get that back when we return to the Football League which we will if we continue to have the league's best defence

Always rated him since I saw him at playing for Fleetwood at BP in a mid-field role. Has the ability to not feel out of position when he comes forward for set-pieces.

why ?? it just made him look a complete and utter pr1ck

I think you will find his posturing was more to do with the needle built up between his club Fleetwood and wrexham over last season.

Agreed, but still not worth 90k by a long way. IF the rumours are anything like true.

I was there, the day Bradley Wood scored a 35 yarder!

You raise a fair point, it does seem excessive at this level, but moosey club raises a valid point, of it being the relative value to the team that wants to buy him that will dictate the real value. His value to us is worth a lot more than his value to fleetwood obviously, he has been massive for us this season dont thin we have the funds to sign him really but would love it if it were to happen.  A very good player indeed.

Surely we must have known we'd have had to put out hand in our pocket ?

For how much is debatable but surely the point is that if JF himself wants "football fortune" then he's gonna have to be prepared to pay and take some risks to help achieve it.

I'm not privvy to the finances but spend a fortune on a squad, get to the top of the league and then wonder if you can afford a few thousand extra outlay makes no real sense to me.

Ok so the wage bill might go up next season when we've said we'll cut regardless of promotion.
Good players can always be loaned or sold !

What's the alternative ?
Don't do it and possibly be stuck in the BSP with a whopping big debt with arguably no realistic hope of ever recovering ?
If other "just as good" loanees come in as replacements presumably we can't afford those either and we're just doing the "in out in out" loan hokey cokey ?

Not saying we should be gung ho or "break the bank" but we can't afford to strike too hard a bargain either ?
If this isn't the right time to roll the dice or shell out then when exactly is ?...

We can think of a new stadium but we can't afford £100K or even a few extra grand to sign key players possibly vital to help making it all happen ?
Confused !
If it's "cashflow" then spell it out to the fans what we might need and ask them to help raise the money.

Pond is brilliant. He had a shaky start against southport 1st game, but since then he's got better and better, scores goals, he's an absoloute tank for us. with Nielson gone (who has been very good for us) we desperatly need sign up hannah and pond. Weather its getting Hannah on a season long loan and then sign him if we go up, a dont know. Fingers crossed we can get them both.

Unless no ones noticed players in the lower leagues don't get transferred between clubs for fees anything like 90k anymore and won't do for the foreseeable future . It's just laughable that just cos they've loaned us players that can't get in their starting line ups and do well here , part of a team that's top of the league that we'll pay stupid money . Pond and Hannah are good enough to justify fees but L1 teams wouldn't pay what fleetwood and Bradford want so why would we ?
