If it's true that he has signed for Luton, I think it kinda defeats the purpose of a transfer window if you're aloud to sign players out of it.

No different to signing a pre contractual agreement with a team when your contracts running out. As long as you can't play the footballer until the window opens, I don't see a problem. I would assume we've been trying to do a similar deal with Hannah.
