Ahem...... " Ohhhh Richard Brodie...used to be a w@nker but he's alright now " Town fans like the vast majority of football fans can be very fickle.
Oh god! I’ll get my coat! His performance at Nuneaton just before we played at Wembley (I think the Wrexham game) was up there with the sh1test performances by an outfield player I’ve ever seen.

Word of warning for those travelling by coach.
Last Saturday the Doncaster fans were made to wait at Chester Services for a good hour or so before then being escorted into Wrexham and made to go straight into the ground. They had no time to go and find a pub etc at that point thanks to the police.
North Wales Police are, with regards to policing football, incompetent scared little jobsworth cretins who get everything wrong. So be warned.
The Doncaster fans said no alcohol was on sale in the away end. Not sure if this was the club or police's choice but that's pretty poor treatment of away fans overall. Given that there's zero history of trouble (with Doncaster) in the last 20 odd years, as I think we've only played each 2 or 3 times (and that was when we were in League One so yonks ago) its a real head scratcher from NWP. But like I've said, that's nothing new.

Hope we stick with the same approach of trying to dominate the ball and try to put them under pressure. I'd be very disappointed if we play the 5-2-2-1 formation we've used in cup games last season and at Barnsley last week (with the back 3, wingbacks and the box midfield).
That was alright for playing against Luton, Southampton and Brighton, but this is a team in our league who appear to be pretty shite in defence, and I hope our tactics on Saturday don't reflect the pessimism shown by some fans on here and elsewhere.
100% agree with this. They're no world beaters as their goals against column shows. Sitting back invites them to do what they do best which is attack and is basically asking to be beaten.

I wonder if we do switch to 5 at the back purely to accommodate Waterfall, who is more than decent against big men and LOVES to soccer a header against Wrexham.

I think you could probably replace 'North Wales Police' with most of the other constabularies we encounter as GTFC fans and still be correct...

Definitely don't want any changes to be honest, Wrexham aren't all that.
Maher and Rodgers are doing incredibly well at the minute, do we really need to disrupt what they've got going on just to slot Waterfall in because Wrexham have got a couple of bigger lads? Have we found ourselves dominated aerially so far?
Wrexham are there to be got at. Let's go with that quick tempo, high press and fluid movement that served us well in the first half against Bradford. Conditions are more favourable for that tactic and I fancy Wrexham would be less equipped to deal with it than Bradford.

I've flip-flopped in my mind a few times about this, but I think I've settled on the above as the right answer. I think Wrexham's reputation precedes them a little bit, but on their last two outings they've had narrow wins against Tranmere and Doncaster who are third from bottom and bottom respectively. They've also got the second worst defensive record in the league, averaging 2.1 goals against per game. I'm pretty confident in our back four and goalkeeper at the minute, and I think that whilst Wrexham will inevitably come at us a lot more than Bradford were able to last weekend, they will also be a lot more generous in their own defensive third. Be bold, play our own game, press like there's no tomorrow and see what happens. I think this is too close to call, personally, but I am in no doubt we have the ability to get something from the game.

Mullin might start. It wouldn't surprise me, as I saw him in the local swimming pool practising his diving whilst listening to the hand of god Maradona commentary.
