Getting rather foggy at the New Lawn as the first-half draws to a close. It feels very much like our best hope tonight is Shaun Harvey pulling a Fenty and getting the match abandoned. Christ.

These next 3 games are probably the biggest in the clubs history , in the context of where we go in the future, both short and long term .

The time wasting by the FGR players is a thing of beauty.

I think that’s bang on the money.

We’re not going to get relegated based on one evening of other teams results, beat FGR, Sutton & Colchester and I’m quite sure we’ll stay up
You make me laugh - so anti Hurst, but then we get Artell, the results are worse, and you’re pro him.

Christ, I’ve just looked a bit further ahead - the four games that follow are against sides currently placed 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th (though not in that order). One way or another, I think we’ll know our fate come the end of March.

I think the decision after the first Donny game is the one that will be looked back on as of historically bad proportions.
If you lose 7 out of 9 in a row and spend most of your interviews in the back half of that winless run sounding like you haven't got a flipping clue how to turn it round beyond baselessly speculating that results will turn around at some point you simply cannot complain about being sacked. Now, none of that absolves Artell for presiding over what looks to be an underwhelming January transfer window and transforming our defence into one of historically inept proportions, or the board for appointing him in the first place, but Hurst can have zero complaints about getting his P45.

We could win them all and still go down and lose them all and still stay up. There have definitely been bigger, more definitive games.

It’s hard to ignore the fact that Hurst fked up the summer window. Also that Shrewsbury had tried to get him back. I’m no fan of Artell but this squad is not an improvement on last season or the season before.
