I'm looking at tickets in block A and haven't sat there for yonks. The club ticket diagram shows a gap between row H and J. Does this exist or is it just a quirk of how they've set it out? My 86 year old dad needs room to sit with his legs out if he's to survive 90 minutes. Normally it's an aisle seat in the upper findus but god you've got to be quick these days!

Haven’t sat in the Main Stand for years, save for the odd Trophy game, but from the photo below (if you zoom in enough you can just about make out row H) there’s no discernible gap. I think it’s fair to say it’s a quirk of the ticketing system, and you’re unlikely to be getting business class style legroom anywhere in the Main (except perhaps, the front row).

As an aside, some cracking photos of the old girl in this blog post:

Enjoyed that, thanks for sharing. Especially the beautifully written and inadvertently prophetic summary of Jolley's time at Town...

"New Grimsby manager Michael Jolley is wearing a smart suit – although he doesn’t look that comfortable in it. He greets the home crowd for his second home match in charge – but seems to cut a lonely figure, standing on the touchline. He is not talking very much, but his frustrations as Grimsby miss a couple of decent chances are clear to see. Just before halftime he finally communicates with an assistant – to get a coat."

Thanks. Didn't think so having watched Lloyd's unofficial tour and pressing pause as it panned across that area.

I do think you get a bit more legroom in the Main stand than other stands, but not enough to stretch out your legs fully.

Got us some seats with him on an aisle seat on the back row so hopefully not too many high balls! Be his first game since his health deteriorated recently so looking forward to it.

When I worked at Suffolk County Council I regularly visited schools and other council building to do a cleaning inspection.

Those showers at Blundell Park would never have passed an inspection.

Really enjoyed those comments about approaching the ground & spotting the floodlights between the rows of terraced houses. Real anticipation &  excitement of what was to come.
Now i can go to a game in a bland stadium  the middle of an industrial estate with zilch atmosphere.

Only thing I found being on the back row in the main stand  dependent on how tall you are is sometimes you have to hunch slightly forward to get a proper view on the far side of the pitch ( I had to do it and Iam less than 6ft ). I've always found being in the top tier of the findus stand the best view and preferably near the centre .
