And incredibly effective smear campaign against Corbyn.

Although dissatisfied with the Conservatives, many of us would never ever have voted for Jeremy Corbyn. In terms of winning an election he was a diabolical selection of labour leader. He was marmite. This is a pitiful Conservative government but I’m still not sure that I trust the labour party to beat them.

Yet he managed to win over all those voters, has consistently been elected…marmite he might be but I’m not sure, in fact I know so, that people wouldn’t be scratting around trying to pay their energy bills and worrying if their mortgage payments will go up beyond their limit…

So you were told by the biased media. Most of the stuff that was levelled at him was made up and completely untrue.

Boris was and is a well known liar, cheat and philanderer, yet the voters overlooked all that and voted him in anyway. There were no smear stories against Boris, yet there were literally dozens of things in his past that the press could have run with.

Can’t we just stick to football?

If you want to voice your opinion try to get a seat on question time or call in to LBC

All supposed to be mates on here yet the same cr@p happens time and time again. You wouldn’t speak to each other like this sat in a pub

(Please don’t bring into this the tax on a pint either!)

Bit difficult in a thread about the resignation of a PM.

There’s many reason to discuss politics and football; the law governing the land are inconsistently implemented where football fans are concerned.

The continued chipping away at civil liberties, meaning our right to protest is continually eroded, remember those protests against the European super league?

Removing this lot and putting Keir Starmer in charge? The choice is terrible right now. Labour would only win because of the negative press of the last few weeks, not because they'd get anything right themselves.

Rishi should have been leader, and I suspect if he had, he'd be quite popular having been the face for most of what we did well during Covid. Might be a poisoned chalice now though.

Why would labour/Keir Starmer being in charge be a terrible choice? An easy thing to say but do you have anything to back it up?
