Cleethorpes cemetery has gravestone bearing his name, he is buried in Hanover War Cemetery,

There is indeed. It was after I saw his name on the headstone that I started my research on him.
An ex-trawler an, he was captured on his very first mission to North Africa, interned at an Italian POW camp for 2 years, and then when Italy changed sides, he and 2 other SAS men walked all the way to Switzerland, and with the help of the Resistance managed to cross France to northern Spain and were shipped across to the south coast, and 2 weeks later all 3 walked through the gates of the SAS training camp in Scotland and immediately started retraining for their next mission. The irony was that the next mission was in Germany, and it was there that he and several other SAS men were killed in an ambush by the Germans. They all lie in Hanover War Cemetery.

There is a point in the Pacific Ocean where the closest human life (to that point) is in the Space Station when it is overhead.

The ISS orbits at around 250 miles. There must be loads of places it passes over, particularly over seas/oceans, when it is the closest human life to a point on earth?

In the USA, Alaska is the state that is the farthest north, east, and west. The reason Alaska can be considered the farthest both east and west is that the Aleutian Islands cross the 180-degree meridian of longitude.

Quoted from TownSNAFU5
Ex-NL team Grimsby Town were top of the Championship when England beat Germany 5-1.

.............

Our Main Stand was built in 1901.  Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid were not shot dead until 1908.  Therefore, they could have been season ticket holders at Grimsby for 7 years, if there was room for them.

.............

Chalky is right about Notts County and Juventus. However,  One of these 2 teams has since been slightly mor successful than the other!

They were never season ticket holders, but Butch would always bring Sundance to home games whenever the telegraph printed a 'kid for a quid' voucher......
