Anybody seen Tory Boy, the docu-film on Amazon?  iirc the  MP he was running against had been the local MP for 7 consecutive terms but lived 3 weeks a month on london and 1 week in paris, employed his wife as his office manager and his son as a research assistant at an office that didn't exist and hadn't held a surgery for 15 years....yet still kept being voted in out of blind loyalty by the locals.

When I hear that the leadership options for PM are either Sunak or Truss and I can't get off this train before it crashes, I keep thinking this is one of those day-dreams you get after too many beers and a dodgy curry rather than reality

Margaret Thatcher saved thousands of lives by shutting coal pits and turning to gas. Dash for Gas the Labour Party jeered, but she proved them wrong.
Coal killed people mining it, either outrright, or slowly with lung diseases, and then killed the rest of us when burnt. Oh and it added enormously to climate change. Did you know that?
Labour bankrupted this country by selling off most (56%) of the  UKGold Reserves in 1999  at the lowest historic price ever, and also lowered the price by 10% by doing it. Real smart.
Labour started a war on a lie invading Iraq which cost £8.5 Billion (double that at todays price) War in Afghanistan £20.5 Billion and of course British armed forces deaths with how many Iraqui Afganistani deaths??
So check your facts before opening mouth.

You're a cretin. I could go into further depth, but I'm on holiday and don't think there is really any need to waste the time. The fact that you mentioned the sell off of the useless bullion as some sort of a loss was the giveaway. Selling the gold for 6.5 billion has bankrupted the country? QE has created nearly £900 billion of debt since then. Not that most of it is really debt as the government owes the money to itself, but that's probably a bit too difficult for you to understand.

One person puts forward a view, the other calls names. Usual Leftie "threats" and name calling. Thats why the Labour Party is wallawing in Anti Semetism, can't work out what a woman is, and following long dumped economic systems. Nice.
Selling of useless bullion eh, how well you understand economics. Sell me your house at a loss and see if your happy.
Enjoy your holiday paid for by a capatilist system, as you stand in the que at the airport, its better than standing in a bread que, eh comrade?

I think if you care to read the Holy Bible, or any history books on the subject, you will find Jesus was not a conservative. He was none political.

You can please some of the forumites some of the time but not all the forumites all of the time

But then you must be  saddo Leftie, and don't get things do you.? I mean if you did, you wouldn't follow a cult that never worked anywhere, just spread sorrow.  Did you know  Socialism Killed 100 million in the 20th /21st Century. And they are still killing in China Venezuela Cuba N Korea etc etc etc.
No of course you didn't your a Leftie, you just follow.
