Yeh stopping the people having to endure the fun of burnt clothes/asthma attacks due to badly thrown pyros, or being hit on the back of the head by something, or game held up for pitch invasions, repairing goal nets etc. Can't wait for the fun police to wade in.

Or jump over fences when it is clearly signed that it is illegal. Fingers crossed some of those simpletons are season ticket holders who have a lot to lose.....plus any fines handed out. Mind you, how it will be policed I do not know.

One thing that really is a worrying trend is when a goal is scored people charge from their seats and down the steps in a mass horde of people with no regards to fans who just want to stand and clap.
This will cause far more injury and fear than any pyro thrown on to the pitch. it is these actions that need stamping out if we are to truly have a family experience that even the most timid of hearts can enjoy.
Keep to your seat and your own space or get out

But seats are safer? Remember when they told us that? Works both ways though, flipping morons forcing their little cherubs to stand down the front so mummy can put a picture on Instagram that no fornicator will see at the final and then moaning because people were asking them to move…

This is the exact reason why I think it works better in places where stands are more explicit in their purpose. Having the main stand for the ‘stand and do a little clap’ brigade and the Pontoon for those who want ‘limbs’ and don’t complain if you’re expected to only clap in the main and don’t complain if people are celebrating in the pontoon. They have that issue in Germany, a lot of tourists are coming into stadiums like Dortmund for the atmosphere, then not taking part and spending the game doing selfies etc, when they could have just sat in a side stand with the sandwich brigade. Obviously stay strong against things like charging onto the pitch.

What has reading got to do with it?
The ability to read the signs that clearly state it is illegal to encroach onto the playing surface (and before you say anything, the pitch surround is also classed as 'the playing surface') It would be useful if they COULD read, wouldnt it? It would be even better if they understood and took heed too

There isn’t any…much like nobody had one at knebworth, or when my server rot asthmatic mum stood next to one at Wembley and didn’t have an asthma attack. In truth, nothings changed. The laws the same, and come the end of the season when teams are winning promotion and thousands pile on to the pitch, intercourse all will happen. This is all because about 4 morons lost their mind but we’re dealt with accordingly…

My grandson was hit on the side of his face by a pyro at the playoff final so think getting rid of em is good thing.

| In his three stints as Grimsby Town manager spanning over 10 years the club was never relegated and he also guided them to three promotions. Only 14 managers have reached 1,000 matches in charge of a Football League team by 1998 and Buckley is one of them. GOD |

This makes sense but there’s too many that still chunter and moan here. I know the tourist trap clubs, Dortmund, Ajax, Juve, Milan etc have an issue with folks wanting to be in it but spending all their time taking excrement selfies, and it doesn’t help that those sort will pay black market prices but the rest do ok. It’s common practice in Italy, want singing, jumping, limbs and flares go behind the goal or wherever the ultras sit. Don’t want that, sit elsewhere. Similarly, at away games they sort of self segregate for the same purpose. Works a treat. I know they do it elsewhere too, Holland, France, Germany…

To be fair that is quite funny I would like to see Notts and Wrexham up next season - much better for the league. Possibly the season after they will meet us in League 1, I would even like us to petition for the extra promotion placen from the National League, 2 up and a play off. This action needs to come from a football league club and I would love us to support this. I know Turkeys voting for Xmas but Wrexham have done their time and deserve better and their fans were decent. The NL league should not be the blocker that it is. For me madness and a stupid system. utm

What you've got to remember is that I'm 60 and been posting on forums for bloody ages,if you want to get me on the hook then be more subtle, replying to me shouting and swearing and throwing verbal punches just makes me laugh especially if the alternative swear words has been substituted, when I first came on here I was limited to ten posts a day and some scamp deliberately got me talking about Nottingham until I used all of my posts up,I enjoyed that because I didn't cotton on until it was to late, that was subtle Anyroad,I'm going to Newark in a week or so,is that bar on the Trent still there, the one next to the car park near the castle,I like it there

With the level of football getting closer and closer between the two leagues I think that there should be two automatics and one playoff go up in the NL,it's going to be hard getting out this season because of the money being spent and quality of players at the club's compered to ten years ago but then again I don't have to remind anyone of here of that,be grateful that you got out when you did (you deserved it btw)

I definitely agreed that there should be two automatics for just over half a decade, and once again last year. I got convinced otherwise about a month or so ago and now I think they should probably get one of them altogether to be honest

There is a huge bottleneck which is making teams pump a lot of cash into getting out and increasing the quality of the league year on year. Would 3 up, 3 down reduce that quality within a few years or would it continue to get stronger? It will never happen because turkeys won't vote for Christmas but I think it should. Whilst the extra relegation place increases your chance of going down if you're one of those teams in the bottom 6 each season like we seemed to be, surely they can see that it also increases their chances of getting back up when the inevitable relegation happens?

Notts owners are the Reedtz brothers who own Football Radar, you would think with all of the resources at their disposal they would have got us out of the NL by now but then again I had Wrexham bang on for promotion last season so it's never straight forward I suppose Thanks for all the nice comments lads (and lasses?) I'm aware of Football Radar, they are one of my employers competitors and have been building a court case against another one of our competitors for some time surrounding the closed shop when it comes to gathering live data at EFL and PL games. Essentially the customers want data from various providers for integrity reasons but DataCo and the current incumbent aren't willing to let that happen.

I always bare in mind that I'm an outsider when visiting forums and there will be resistance from a few so I always try to be pleasant and not ruffle any feathers, anyway don't be to hard on Newarkmariner because I actually like it when angry wums make an appearance for no reason whatsoever
You're welcome chalky, as is any other sensible poster, whoever they support.

It would be better if the top Vanarama league was admitted to the FL and bring that structure back up to 92 clubs. Make promotion and relegation the same for all leagues with 2 automatic and 1 via a play off system.

Good statement and well put. Glad the club support it.
I've been to 100s of football matches and going onto the pitch and carrying smoke bombs etc has never been a part of the enjoyment I get from it yet I've got so many happy memories and enjoyed alot of town away games without all of that. Anyone who thinks this is a negative thing then I assume you think all of this is acceptable?

On this:
1. It's perfectly reasonable that if someone throws a pyro they get a decent ban - a) were town - we do inflatables b) If you don't want a ban don't throw a pyro.
2. Encorachment - some common sense is needed here - if a kid jumps over to return a ball to the goalie then don't kick em out. If it's drunken idiot trying to accost a goalie - ban em-
3. Bring back standing - It's ludicrous that you can stand at Halifax and not at Grimsby - is Halifax safer. Hundreds of thousands stand at gigs every week - without incident - we know how to keep people safe standing now and it's easier with CCTV and electronic montoring to keep everyone safe. This will improve everyones enjoyment - the more rowdy sections will stand and the more relaxed won't.
4. Rather than 3 up, 3 down from the conference why not top 2 go up then the third bottom club joins the play offs - like they do in Scotland.

Keep to your seat and your own space or get out
Fantastic post written by a true football man, Sir I salute you
