I’m sorry I’m loving Scunny’s misery - I’ve got Scunny supporting mates I put up with more than a decade of abuse off them. Now it’s time to return the favour.

Used to work with a lad from scunny that ripped the pi55 like there was no tomorrow. Would leave the football results open on my desk on a Monday morning highlighting our existence in the conference and the fact they were in the league. Then we only went and beat them in the fa cup and when I left a print out of what had happened the night before, he kicked off and went crying to management! Sort of summed scunny fans up for me right there.
I’d love to still be working with him but, as he blocked me from social media at the end of last season, I’ll just assume that after 10 years, he hasn’t changed.

Scunny fans are an odd breed…I’ve met some who are complete and utter bellsniffs but then my very good mate is a sensible football fan who knows the state of his club and is always the first to congratulate and commiserate me, much like I with him.

The description you’ve just given of that guy is the epitome of people I do not like.

I used to work with a Scunny fan. We got on fine before he knew I was a Town fan and he became a bit weird after that. On the other hand all of the Lincoln fans (pre-2016/7 fans) I’ve met have been good to talk to about footy and fairly knowledgable and sympathetic to our downfalls. Hull fans live in their own alternate universe.

Good news is it’s on BT, something to enjoy whilst having a moment or two to reflect on our convincing home win v Northampton earlier in the day😀😀😀😀😄

Tricky start to their season to be fair. Yeovil at home first up probably isn’t the worst fixture in the world, but following that up with away trips to Maidenhead and Woking, at home to Solihull, away at Bromley, then at home to Halifax and Boreham Wood.
Halifax possibly a bit of an unknown quantity given the dismantling of their entire management team and squad that has taken place, but that aside I think they’ll do well to get more than 4 or 5 points from their first 21 available.
It’s going to be a long season for them, and thank Christ we don’t have to go to any of those places in the league next season.

That is some baptism for them. If their fans had any illusions about how tough the National League can be, then they will know after that opening set of fixtures. I still vividly remember how quickly reality struck when we first entered that league.
