The money needs to be right, but all things considered he should re-sign.

He joined us when we were in non league so subject to contract you think he would be nailed on to stay now we are in the league.  There is always the chance he might be tempted away by a great offer somewhere but that applies to anybody out of contract.


to get back to rumours , Lincoln are apparently sniffing around. I presume he's based somewhere in the E. Midlands, so it'd be a step up and closer to home

I think as football fans we somehow hold players to an unrealistic standard on their career decisions. Fox is out of contract and can probably command much more money in League 1, potentially closer to home. As fans of the club we’d all obviously say stay, but if this was us in our own workplaces, most people on this board would rightfully take the move.

Fox went from a good team player to an un dropable in 3 play off games . He certainly did his negotiations no harm at all but Hurst isn't daft , he worked with him all season . He won't let 3 games sway the deal

Fair enough, but the fact that he had League 1 experience from 18 years of age puts him ahead of most non league players. Even in Macca's testimonial v Rotherham, he looked more comfortable than any other player in our squad.

It's all down to how much we can afford to give him and how long a contract compared to what he can get elsewhere.

Fox has been class all season, his only wobble came when McAtee was out and Hurst tried to play him further forward which really didn’t work

Very good point. On another note, Lincoln’s seat and ST prices are substantially higher than ours.
