So this season…

We beat champions Stockport from behind at home.

We beat 2nd placed Wrexham from behind twice. At home & away in the play-off semi-final.

We beat 3rd placed Solihull from behind in the Promotion Final.

We beat 5th placed Notts County from behind twice. Both away in the league & the play-off eliminator.

We beat Chesterfield from behind away.

That’s 7 (Seven) wins from behind against the other 6 teams in the top 7.

Incredible amounts of grit and guts.

And whilst we didn’t beat Halifax at home, we scored at the death and if you review the game, how we didn’t win is anyones guess, so you could argue that’s another…

Maybe this habit started back in September we came from behind 1-3 against Barnet to win 4-3 in the 92nd minute!

Being a long time Hurst fan, even I would have struggled to dream of so many comebacks, great substitutions, being on the right side of nine goal thrillers and winning all three play-off matches without even keeping a clean sheet.

Hope Mrs Hurst gave Paul an extra two triangles of marmite toast in bed this morning (brown for main, white for dessert). ***

If you were writing a football related film script and put three extra time winners in the story you would be laughed at for being too fanciful and lacking in credibility.

Fantasy stuff at Grimsby Town..
Genuinely unbelievable but actually true!!

A movie about a team being promoted from the National League to the EFL.....weren't Netflix planning that?

It’s a great format but totally brutal , it quite rightly favours the teams that finished higher.

I can just imagine Tom Cruise mavericking as Hurst, turning to Sousa (played by Drake) and saying, ‘You can be my wingman anytime (just don’t shoot or cross, give it simple)’.
