I find the non-league pyramid a bit confusing below the regional National League divisions. Would promotion take them into step 3, e.g. a division below the National League North. Not bad going, if so.

So if they are promoted, they'd be at Level 7, just two below us (currently).

Great achievement for a well run, welcoming, local club.
Hopefully they get a good attendance to cheer the lads to victory.

I assume Clee Town would get promoted to the Northern Premier League if they are successful in the play offs which is the league below National League North. So they are currently step 8 but would go up to step 7, right?

Correct. They would end up in the Northern Premier if they win tomorrow night and then on Saturday which feeds into the NLN/S. Promotion is a huge ask though because Liversedge and Marske have gone toe to toe for promotion and are both a class above everyone else in that league. Liversedge won the title which pits Marske against Shildon tomorrow night. Anything can happen in one off games but to put it into perspective, Marske have won 28, drawn 4 and lost 4 all season with identical home and away records. Cleethorpes finished 19 points behind them in 3rd having won 21, drawn 6 and lost 9. Football locally is on the up and it would be great if Cleethorpes could get promoted. The higher they get, the better opportunities it presents for players coming through our academy surely?

Grimsby Borough will play in the Northern Premier East Division next season which is where Cleethorpes currently play. It is very confusing, especially at the bottom where third bottom have relegation play-offs. In the Northern Premier, Basford finished third bottom but won't have a relegation play-off because their PPG is better than the third bottom teams in the other equivalents (Southern and Isthmian etc). 4 teams went into the final day of the East Division fighting to avoid a play-off game or the drop (Bridlington where Jaz Goundry is, Sheffield FC, Lincoln United and Frickley). Frickley finished second bottom to get relegated and Sheffield FC won but so did Bridlington and Lincoln United consigning them to a relegation play-off against a team from the Counties league. However, in a dramatic late twist, Yorkshire Amateur who finished 10th lost their appeal on Friday and have been relegated as their ground doesn't meet the grading criteria. This means Sheffield FC are safe and second bottom Frickley now have a relegation play-off. And breathe. It's confusing as hell!
