To be honest, mid way through the season I couldn’t get to a town away game but still wanted a football fix, saw they were at home and enquired, I saw the price and went to brigg instead…

Can’t say I’m overly arsed in Cleethorpes Town or borough. Good on them and we’ll done and all that but I just have little interest…

I suppose when we slip up and go down and Cleethorpes does ever so well and has several promos, then we will again be topical in pub quizzes as the only team to play Home and Away at Cleethorpes

Except I'm pretty sure their ground is technically in Grimsby. I think they become rivals when they are a serious threat to being in the same league as us the following season.

Personally, I think they can maintain a largely local playing squad at their current level and less so at the next level but if they got to the National League North that identity would have to go in order to compete in my opinion.
