Well it seems that Joey Jones reckons he won't return to the Daggers when his loan is up. He wants away.

And best of all he want to move to GTFC permanently.

Loves the club and loves the fans.

Do we sign him? Can Hursty find anyone better during the summer?

What is your opinion?

Doesn't really tell us anything unexpected, looks like Jones was rolled out as token post match player to speak to the press.

Not much he could be asked apart from that and he was hardly gonna contradict what he said upon joining 2 games ago.  

Ah well.  I'm gonna say its a non story but not overly critical of the journo if that's who he was given to speak to.   Would have been more interesting to hear from one of the 4 new pros, or Joel grant, or even Smith or Scannell about recent game time.maybe.

All those newbies and short contract players are playing from now to season end to earn a further run.

Play offs, then promotion, would be the ultimate "you need to sign me" incentive.

Moneywise, it definitely depends on which tier we are playing next season.

Got 7 more games to show us he’s worth a contract, can’t really glean too much from 2 matches.

Probably advisable not to get too attached to any players at this time of year, Hurst doesn’t mess about when he doesn’t want someone and certainly doesn’t appear to give much weight to sentiment.

From what I have seen so far, which isn't much I would rather have Harry Clifton in the middle, but let's see how he gets on.

Hurst is ruthless and if he made decisions based on sentiment, McKeown would have been an ever-present this season. Hurst will have some difficult decisions to make whatever league we find ourselves in as he looks to make us stronger.

Hurst will have an idea of how he thinks a full pre-season with us can benefit the likes of Cropper, Amos, Jones etc but I'm sure there will be a few debates on here about some that we let go...
