JMD not ready, Fox out for months not weeks and Max ‘moaning’ - Hurst’s words - about hamstring and now quads. Sounds like we still need reinforcements if we still have any ambitions for this season.

I think the choice of words there was very telling.

Intestine choice of words from a manager, especially when Hurst is usually quite guarded. I wonder if he’s not happy that Wright seemingly plays 20 minutes and then seemingly sits out games.

Is it in his head perhaps? Could that be the reasons he gets injured, a psychological thing?

If Max wasnt max we’d all be fed up of it

I get its frustrating for him but its complete waste of time. 20 minutes here and there injured again.

Thought Scannell did ok last night so hopefully we can see a bit more of him

Hurst seems to have alluded on a few occasions that he thinks it's in Wright's head.

Whether it is or it isn't he is no good to us if he plays a cameo every now and again regardless of the impact it may produce. When was the last time he started a match or complete a match?

We really need Scannell to be fit enough to warrant a run in the side as the engimatic Sousa is not the answer to our problems regardless of how well he can move the ball up the pitch.

I know we have only had JMD a short period of time but we really miss him and his return is imperative.

Sounds like young Wrighty career with Town is over.
Probably best that the lad plays at a lower level but only down to fitness, imagined or not.

Didn’t Gary Cohen’s Town career mysteriously end under similar circumstances? A quick Google reveals that he did have a lowly non-league career after leaving us, but that in itself is odd given that he looked a very capable League Two player in his time with us.

It’s a problem athletes with fantastic leg speed always have. Causes excessive pressure on muscles. Think Michael Reddy also had similar issues.

Gut wrenching.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day, teach a man to fish and you give him an excuse for him to escape from the wife and kids for the weekend and drink lots of beer.

Assante was similar. Club physio and doctor said he was recovered and good to play, so he hired his own doctor that said he wasn't.

I think some players want to feel in perfect condition to play, and that's very rarely the reality.
