A few bits of interest, Bournemouth keeper is our friend Andy Woodman’s son. Borehamwood have a new centre back who played against us for Wealdstone last week and Boden who they signed from Chesterfield goes down at the slightest touch.

With an average attendance of 891, Borehamwood fans are ironically chanting about Bournemouths support being excrement.

Hope the Scunny fans are watching this

When Leeds trainer Les Cocker was once told Norman Hunter had broken a leg, he asked: “Whose is it?”

Bournemouth need to concentrate on the league and getting promoted. Protecting our Dembele funding.

If Boreham Wood see out the game our home match against them will be off again. It’s currently scheduled for Tuesday 1st March & FA Cup 5th Round is Wednesday 2nd March.

The mighty Boreham Wood! They were solid but Bournemouth were awful. Pretty, pretty football, over-elaborating and they deserved to lose. They were soft, no grit. Four or five square passes across the box giving the Wood time to pack their area with eleven men and wait for the cross which was usually misdirected.

Hope this plays in our favour with the mighty Wood getting distracted by the FA Cup, fall behind with league fixtures and have a job to catch up. In the meantime, others in the NL promotion hunt must get points in the bag.

Set up like Bromley, three big centre backs, press high to get first goal then sit. Not pretty but very effective.

Probably not a bad thing that Boreham Wood are going to face something of a fixture like up given that we play them twice. They’ve still got half their league fixtures and at least two more cup / trophy games to play yet.

Assuming our game is rearranged for before 22nd March, they’ll have a minimum of 13 matches to play between 12th Feb and then. That’s a game every 2.9 days on average.
