I have friends who are Luton Town fans, 8 always came up for the home game, football then a night out in Cleethorpes.
My best mate Cleethorpes born and breed, located in Mauden for the best part of 25 years now, had many a night out in the surrounding areas.
Worse experience at Kenilworth Road was when we lost 0-6 back in the eighties.

You didn’t go anywhere near Bury Park when I stayed there. It seemed a very territorial place if you know what I mean. Had some good times in Luton though and met some cracking people, lots of Irish down there. Some lovely surroundings as well with Hitchin, Harpenden and St Albans. Whenever I think of the football team though I just remember that 7-1 win at home in the FA cup.

The one when their 9ft tall keeper was lobbed in the box for the 1st goal.

By Jamie Forrester - the shortest player on the pitch.

I remember it well. As our seventh goal crashed in an old boy in the Main Stand sat near me exclaimed: "Pinch me! Is this really happening?"

I've added the video now on my post, so you can watch all the goals again.

Cheers mate.
I spent 18 months in Stavanger in the late 90’s. Fantastic place and people.
Always amazed at how much the locals knew about lower tier English football, instead of just Man U, Liverpool etc.

Went to Oslo a couple of times. Nice but fking expensive!!

Did you ever get to Voss?

Speaking of expensive (and cold) places I went to Reykjavik a few years ago.

We were at a restaurant and they had Quality Street chocolates they were handing out for free. It turned out it had become a tradition because the trawlermen ‘from Grimsby’ brought them across. When I told them my dad was one of them we ended up with loads of extra food and drinks.

Somewhere I've always wanted to go. Hope to do a cruise there in the next couple of years or so.

Iceland is amazing, it’s like being on another planet.

Rekjavik is nice but if you go try and get to the Golden Circle, there are some amazing waterfalls,  volcanos and geezers  within an hours drive. The Blue Lagoon is worth the trip by itself.

I'm a bit restricted as I'm not allowed to fly anywhere over 2 hours so it'll have to be a cruise. They do cruises to Iceland so it'll need to be that for me.

If it’s a cruise around Iceland I’m sure they’ll take you to the Golden Circle, you’ll love it.
