I love all this Amond talk.
But surely it isn't just me that is really skeptical of the idea?

Would rather have the great memories we had before with him.

If it was someone else with his stats for the last 2 years, not 1 person would want him IMO

20/21 - 6 goals in 44 apps

For context, John-lewis scored 4 in 20 in the worst team in the league, Amond has been playing in a Newport team that finished 5th

How many of those did he start? I suppose it’s minutes on the pitch per goal that counts.

Since march, he played 45mins+ on 15 of the 19 matches

I saw Birtles play twice in Germany in the European Cup.  He was excellent (along with Tony Woodcock) when winning at Cologne in the semi final 2nd leg.  Cologne were then the current double champions.  

I never thought that he would grace BP later with his skills, work rate and goals.

And how long ago was that? If he was to come back I would bet he would not get over 20 goals and probably closer to 15 over 40+appearances.
