It's an awful thought, but do people think that Fenty has put his oar in and said the he still wants some involvement with the club or the deal is off?  Can he still do that?

1. No
2. He could, but that would be stupid. If they didn't want to join the current board, why would he scupper the deal by requesting that. No way is he enjoying being involved with the club anymore.

If we are top 3 crowds will be decent. Most people are thoroughly bored of boardroom politics and just want to see us win some games.

Tomorrow against Salford would be a good start.

Not a penny more increases Fenty's "benign" loans and hence the cost for future investors to buy the club goes up. Not gonna work the way you want i to.

If the takeover does fall through I really do worry about our future.

Fenty holds the purse strings and I wouldn't put it past him to really strip the budget back to bare bones so he can use every last penny of income to recoup some of his loans.

If there’s a boycott and Fenty needs to put more money in, what’s the problem? He’s gonna get fed up of it at some point. He won’t want to do a Dale Vince and single-handed lay bankroll the club.

It’s his toy. He’s made it clear enough times it’s his rules or else. Well like any spoiled child, he can play on his own.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.

I did hear that Hurst's newish portacabin was going to be removed to save the rates, but not to worry he's buying a tent to replace it.

What evidence is there that he'll get bored? Have people suddenly forgotten that he's a megalomaniac with both hero and victim complexes? If the Stockwood-Petitt takeover doesn't go through and people boycott, we'll be in the Conference with Fenty signing off on "benign" loans, which we now know from experience, that he's going to insist on being paid back by any future potential owner. So you go from £2.5 to £3m to £3.5m to buy the club. Who the intercourse is going to do that? And at what point does it become too much and Fenty just pulls the plug, taking us down. I don't doubt for a second that he would do that.

I get the emotional pull of the boycott but I just fear it would ultimately be counter-intuitive.

Not bored, fed-up. fed-up of bankrolling the club. At which point the club would fold and it could be picked up for nowt or a Phoenix club could be setup.

If people keep going, it just prolongs the day when the axe falls. We stuck by the club in Non-League before, helped secure promotion, reduced Fenty’s debts and we end up back in the footballing mire anyway.

I understand the fear of losing the club if there’s a boycott. But it’s just emotional blackmail same as when he threatened to pull the plug unless he got those shares.
