If we go down what will the gates be.?
I think a lot of town fans will of had enough, if we are doing well 3500, if we are doing not so well 1800.

I think town fans have had two decades of dross and we have lost a generation of fans.

The league matters not. If we are top end and winning most weeks, the fans will turn up.

Weren't the parachute payments considerably increased recently?

Would help our cause if the worst was to happen I suppose.

I just got a pasting for my recent thread but what a load of crap this is, it makes me look like saint

We are not going down until it is mathematically impossible to stay up. I also posted on another thread about the insolvency of NL clubs. It is illegal  for a company (Most NL Clubs) to trade if they are insolvent. I'm thinking BHS, Debenhams etc.

Given their lack of income some may already be insolvent! If so the NL has a legal duty to expel these clubs regardless of position in their league. If they don't and clubs are found to have trade whilst being insolvent then any relegated club would have reasonably good case against against the NL.

If we go down, don't be silly we're staying up.

It was increased to 100% of EFL solidarity payment in the first season and 50% in the second season, although I'm not sure if that is still the case without checking.

However, given what has happened this season, I think there will be a clamour to introduce a salary cap, which was talked about as being 900,000 in last years talks.

If that happens, we will no longer be a big player in that league, and would be just our luck if we drop down and it is introduced.

We've got Tranmere on Saturday. Everything beyond that will look after itself.

Definite win, 3 points and take off up the league.

You were wrong.

Pen penfras was wrong.

GTFC plc are currently insolvent and are still trading.

Stop trying to cause trouble

KAFV AND DB...definition of being insolvent is based on 2 criteria.

This being
1a : unable to pay debts as they fall due in the usual course of business.
1b : having liabilities in excess of a reasonable market value of assets held.
2 : insufficient to pay all debts therefore it's an insolvent estate.

I'm not getting involved with your mammary for tat, just put this up for you to both stew over

Look I am not an insolvency accountant. All I was thinking following somebody else's post was that if the worst happened could company law save our bacon. This was the sole reason for making my posts. If it won't work, well it was a try.

We're not going down but always handy to have a plan B.

1. GTFC are not insolvent, see link for definition https://smallbusiness.chron.com/difference-between-insolvency-negative-equity-66732.html

2. The illegal part that the Southport manager referred to, which is I assume where DB's confusion comes from, is about a director deliberately taking action that will cause the company to become insolvent. ie, voting to continue playing this season with zero income. That is not in a companies best interest, but it may be in a club's sporting best interest. It's a murky area, but some will surely make that choice.

If we go down and the takeover hasn’t happened, crowds will be rock bottom (assuming we’re allowed back in by next season).

If the takeover has happened, I’d expect crowds will be a bit iffy but we could well see a bounce because people will be desperate to go to the football. And there could well be a bit of extra positivity depending on what we hear coming from the new regime.

Through the door there came familiar laughter,
I saw your face and heard you call my name.
Oh my friend we're older but no wiser,
For in our hearts the dreams are still the same.

No money expert but being at the steelworks for over 40 years, there were more loss making years then profitable ones, in fact in the early 80’s the place was losing £1 million a day, hate to think what that would work out in today’s money.

If JSF was still in charge, I would feel I would be wasting my time, money and emotional investment. I would walk away, but I'm not sure what I'd do on a Saturday (maybe the last 9 months have given an insight).

Under the new board, I would absolutely give them my full backing and support whatever level we play at. None of this disgraceful and pathetic shitshow is their fault and they deserve our unconditional backing.
