Hess playing  for Crawley against Leeds today. Shielding the back four very well, we could do with him at the minute.
Why did he leave?

Because we’re well run. Allegedly.

Because that Tw@t Holloway thought he could get better and the board are tight bar stewards!!

Hess, Davis, Whitehouse would all walk into our team right now. I know we talk about the loss of Vernam, Clarke etc, but it was a huge mistake letting these go too.

In fact, gonna stick my neck on the line and say a fully fit Davis would be preferable to both Waterfall and Pollock. Can’t reLly remember him ever letting us down.

Good player Davis, Don't know if he's injured, but he doesn't seem to be getting any games for Morecambe.

EDIT. Seems he played against Chelsea today.

Whether that’s true or not, we didn’t try and keep any of those out of contract players. We just saw it as an opportunity to save a bit of cash for a few months.

Think the only one we retained was Max? Who won’t be on much and we know lives in the area and loves the club

Incorrect. If we gave him a new contract we would have had to pay him from 1st July. We released him and others to avoid paying wages during July, August & the first week of September.

Believe we made.offers to max, clarke and vernam, sort of.   Ollie said something about he might being back some of those released, everyone assumed Hess or Davis, but both moved on.    Ollie obviously had much better options in his contacts....hmmmm
