Cue lots of ear cupping celebrations of goals.

I hope ifollow will be allowed to show these games -it would bring welcome revenue to the clubs as well as providing a service to the supporters

Wouldn’t the law have to change to allow
iFollow to show games at 3pm...aside from this seemingly being a big over reaction and a likely unnecessary precaution adding to scare mongering, is changing the law to allow football to be shown at 3pm the least of anyone’s worries if this actually something that needs to be done to allegedly keep people safe...

This will cause clubs to go into administration and even out of business altogether.

For L1 & L2 it would be better to just suspend the season for the time being and wait and see. There’s no real reason the season couldn’t be extended into June and played even when Euro 2020 is taking place is there? All player contracts run until 30th June don’t they?

If things don’t improve it doesn’t really matter as rearranging fixtures would be easy. No crowds means no problems rearranging all games at short/no notice.

For L1 & L2 there’s no real reason the regular season couldn’t be extended from April 25th to June 13th if there’s a chance fans could see all the games. Play-off Semi’s Wed 17th & Sat 20th June. Play-off Final on weekend of Sat 27th June (not at Wembley obviously) maybe at Emirates or Tottenham or Twickenham?

Next season could start a bit later to allow players a break and time to arrange fixtures for next season. End of August or start of September. Maybe abolish FA Cup replays and play R1 & R2 midweek & make the EFL Trophy a straight knock-out to help get next season done.

As players test positive as they surely will and squads therefore will have to isolate, games will not be played anyway behind closed doors or otherwise

2 points.

1) There’s no law that says games can’t be on tv at 3PM. It’s simply an FA rule that there’s a blackout on TV between 14:45 and 17:15.
2) if there’s no crowd games could take place at any time. For instance Grimsby & an opponent might decide to play at 7PM on a Saturday night  instead if they think more people will pay £10 to watch. Scheduling would be around timing for maximum views. Would GTFC or any L1 or L2 want to play at 3PM on a Saturday if there are EPL games that people can watch at that time?
