Regarding the "behind closed doors" games...

Anyone noticed the players aren't rolling around as much to get the crowd to put pressure on the ref, no point.

I agree. But when they do, the squealing is deafening!

I don’t think there will be any games behind closed doors in England. Sadly from Monday I think the season will be suspended altogether for the time being. Hopefully the season can be concluded with fans by extending the season into May and June. Euro 2020 will probably be postponed to allow the top level leagues and UEFA club competitions to do the same.

Enjoy Saturday as it will probably be our last game for a month or more.

However shambolic it is, it won’t be as excrement as the Italian FA/serie A fiasco...trying to call a suspension 2 minutes before KO...

On a serious note, what would the financial implications be like for all clubs and what is the mechanism to support that, much like local business etc.

The Premier League should be suspended before Liverpool win it.

Pompey and Peterborough players self isolating so think it has to be a case of a blanket suspension of fixtures otherwise it is not fair on the clubs affected.

But will it? How about those small businesses that rely on the additional income in order to survive? We’re not talking about Google or Apple here but local businesses.

Making blanket decisions isn’t that easy.

So a small business is worth more than somebody's life?

That’s not what was said but economic factors do actually impact a persons health so it’s a genuine concern.

I see folk every day in poor health physically and mentally because of the economic strains placed upon them. It’s very much a real thing.

Blanket bans etc aren’t a simple solution nor an easy decision. For whatever reason this has become a big deal, not helped by scaremongering but nobody is disagreeing that something needs to be done. Are blanket bans a small part of the solution? Who knows. It all seems very much like guess work.

If they are going to implement bans on sport etc it needs to be sooner rather than later though...
