Questionable positioning by Macca when we concede..sound familiar??? How many points has he potentially cost us this season? If your harsh maybe 10 if yoir being realistic around 5.
New goal keeper an essential, someone who commands the area and takes a bit of pressure off the defence by being able to catch.
After that the squad isn't too bad IMO. We need some pace injected throughout the side and one or two real leaders. I don't think there will be the wholesale changes some people on here are dreaming about.

I don't think we were really that bad we were just woefully inconsistant and Barnet were just better. When we pressed high and passed the ball around in the first 15 we looked good but you could see how the game was going to go when we couldnt muster even a shot in that time.
We then started to sit deeper and Barnet passed and moved us off the pitch pulling us apart. Macca at fault for the first unless Pearson called for it he was in conpletely the wrong position to defend the header or he should of punched it out the air.
There 2nd was a cracker at the near post. Davies went for the tackle and missed and the defence was slow to react and they smashed it into the net nothing really Macca could of done to save it there was that much power behind it. All we could do was hood it forward to no avail.
2nd half Dyson and Boyce on for Osbourne who wasn't in the game and Pearson who was getting bullied by Akinde-Pen.
Started bright for first 5 minutes then they scored Collins cleared the ball which was heading in straight to their player what can you do. We looked better with Dysons pace but never really created any real chances.
Tombolas arrival created the necessary space we needed with his pace and the width he created. Disley got a good tap in at the back post after Vernon headed the ball on. Like I said we didnt play badly we were just outplayed bevaise of our own inconstistancy.
I thought basically we were crap. Too many players didn't look up for it. They were quicker, closed us down and wanted it more. Davies was very poor as was Clements who after last week's game I thought I might have the wrong opinion about him but he was back to how he has been playing, poor passing, keeps getting caught in possession and gives daft free kicks away as he did for their 3rd. I wouldn't sign Comley either, there was one moment that they went past him and Clements in the second half as if they weren't there. Neither Vernon or Sam Jones looked fit. Overall they let the fans down. |

Great day out, town fans are a phenomenon, facililites at the Hive were fantastic. Arrived at 2.15 packed bar, no queues.
Then the game started.....
Everything went down Barnets left, our passing was appalling and we gave the ball away continually, Comley is not a right winger, Vernon is not a centre forward, Osborne has ability but isn't a left winger, Jones has ability but is naive.
Great that Dis scored but we were destroyed by Cambell-Rice down their left, a genuine winger.
I think we have a team from our 31 players but we need to jettison 15 and get some width and pace
Oh and there was a band there, so congrtaulations to the genius who came up with that idea.

What was the deal with Disley's celebration, or lack of? He scores in front of the Town fans and no celebration just runs off. I know we was three down and that point but I would have expected something. Does he not loves us anymore?

I think he adores us but was possibly embarrassed buy the fact some players let us and themselves down today. |

Possibly right Herts. Poor effort today. Most of the players looked like they were already on holiday and/or didn't want to risk injury. Barnet thoroughly deserved the win. They didn't let their fans down. Ben Davies - shadow of the player who started the season. Great build up. In the bar. Fantastic atmosphere. Great facilities too. Shows what can be done. Anti-climax once the game started. Our team were as shoddy as that table that collapsed, exposing the it was made of cardboard. Funny seeing all the ball boys at the end in sombreros though. Made their day |
