The English FA

Under the rules for providing above board people to own football clubs, if this had happened at club level, the FA would be asking how he had passed the fit and proper persons test.

As mentioned above, he's been accused of being dodgy before. He threatened to sue the BBC at the time, but never did so. Why would you NOT want your day in court if you were going to win and clear your name?

The FA, by appointing him, have at the very least, failed their own responsibilities under the fit and proper persons rule.

From other comments made, it would suggest that Allardyce is at the thin edge of the wedge of corruption in the English game. The FA is responsible for that - and they should be investigated independently to see what else has gone on/is going on.

Sky are running a ticker with a couple of Sam quotes, but mostly, they are burying the story underneath constant coverage of the Ryder Cup.

My guess is that, like the Halsey revelations - nothing will happen because the English media is part of the problem.
