My day out used to cost just over a quid. I only got 50p a week pocket money at the time. Fortunately, my dad used to give me a pound note which would cover most of the cost of going to games. Can't remember how much it was the first season (71-2) but I can remember it going up to 15p. 15p!! That's 3 bob! Outrageous. My first away match on my own apart from Scunny was Oldham in 69/70 and the train fare to Oldham was £1 and 4 shillings return. (sadly I know this because I still have the ticket!!!) Supporters' Club coach travel to Bristol would set you back just £7.00.Programme £0.30 1980-81 season

Can't remember how much it cost when i packed in selling papers and started to pay but whatever it was for a boy in the Barratts stand in the 72 season. Most games though, we climbed over the fence into the back of the Ponny with the help of a ladder from my mates back garden in Blundell Ave.

When I first started going on my own in the late 80's it was 1.50p to stand in the Pontoon and 2.50p to sit in the main stand. My first season ticket cost 40 quid in 1989
