Slows the team down
Doesn't tackle
Doesn't beat / get past anyone
Can only pass back or sideways
Endless hopeless performances with him in the side
We will not progress if he is kept
We need the ball moving quickly in lg 2
Go
Well done Town!!

Unfair I know, but based on the play-off semis and the two wembley games, it's hard to justify another year for him.

I remember being pelted with ice by the Norwich fans during the Milk Cup match, do you?

Hes obviously a good footballer, but past his sell by date by 3 months and does not seem to have been properly fit in that time either. So thanks for the effort early in the season but no thanks for next season

Like a lot of players over the last few years, we managed to sign him about 5 years too late. I understand he was excellent when younger - didn't Buckley try to sign him? Lets hope following our promotion we get more players that are in or near their prime.

true pro and good career but I don't like these punts up to him, we have showed in patches we can play some great stuff and that's usually when he's not on the pitch. I can't say it's his fault I'm sure the tactics come from management

More than played his part over the course of the season and played some great stuff with Townsend but since he picked up that last injury a few months back he has been very ineffective.Possibly worth having in amongst the coaching set up been a good pro for many years but cant say I would like to see him in our starting eleven next season.Good luck Monkey and thankyou.

Monkhouse showed what an intelligent footballer he was in his pairing with Townsend , it was worth having him here for the Eastleigh away game alone - I've not often seen 2 performances down a channel like him and Connor that day really was a great understanding there . Unfortunately without a mobile FB all Andys assets are negated , and he's taken a bit of a battering for it . I think it's probably a step too far up to league 2 for him + carrying him and Dis age wise would be one too many . Great pro and character to have around the place though . Fox

I'm a fan. He's a very intelligent player and suffers from the modern obsession of wanting to see players running around like a headless chicken and "getting stuck in". Brings way more to the party than Clay IMO, yet Clay seems more popular with many. I know it's not a view that many share but it's all about opinions isn't it? Whether he has enough left in the tank for a League 2 campaign is open to question i suppose and one that will be answered when the retained list is announced, probably today.
